Since 2009, Alford has been the home for the Aberdeen & District Transport Preservation Trust, including the FirstGroup Heritage Trust.
The collection is part of the Grampian Transport Museum and is open to visitors between May and October.
There are currently around 20 buses in the collection from Leyland Atlantean 209 to 001 the first bendi-bus in Scotland.
Work takes place on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays with volunteers always needed to help maintain our vast fleet of vehicles.
The collection was opened on 3rd October 2009 by Sir Moir Lockhead with an opening rally event with some visiting vehicles too, including Leyland Atlantean 270 and Leyland Leopard JSA 102V.
